Deepfake audio is manipulated or AI-generated audio presented as authentic speech. It may be used to support impersonation, pressure, or false confirmation. Deepfake audio can be shared in messages, voicemail, or social platforms. SAF emphasizes that audio alone should not be treated as proof. Verification should be done through trusted channels and known contact methods.
